For a while now I have been wanting to make dishcloths from leftover cotton yarn. In December I bought a set of patterns from Yarn Blossom Boutique on Etsy, and today I finally got started.

I used red cotton 8 ply from Bendigo Woollen Mills - left over from Dominic the Dopey Dragon and the Café Wall Illusion Cushion.

This cloth is done in half double crochet (hdc), a very quick and simple project - perfect to keep my hands busy while watching the tennis. Yay, the Australian Open has started! I hope to make a few more cloths before it is finished.

When we were away I made some progress on the Painted Daisies Wrap. It looks very frumpy from being dragged around Europe in a project bag for four weeks, but I'm sure it will look great when it is finished and blocked.
