Finally something to show here again! I started this pair of socks in November 2025 and finished it this week. The pattern I used is Pin Striped Socks by Julia Swart, with some modifications (I didn't use an afterthought heel, as I really did not enjoy that technique when I used this pattern before in 2022).
One of the reason it took so long to finish these socks was the fact that the yarn (Zauberball by Schoppel-Wolle), although pretty, was horrible to work with, as it kept twisting, no matter what I did. Other reasons were the hot summer we experienced (who wants to knit woollen socks during a heatwave?) and, last but not least, the fact that I was very busy finishing my master's degree in History! (with distinction!)
Yes, I am now officially a historian, and have started my own agency for historical research: The Final Footnote. I have also started knitting a new pair of socks (my trusted Sail Away DK socks) because I have a bit more time now and winter is coming!
