EXTERMIKNIT!

When I saw the pattern for these Dalek Gloves on Etsy, I just knew I had to make them for my youngest son, who is a big fan of Doctor Who (I've made him a Tardis bow tie and a Doctor Who Cushion before).

It was my first project on four needles and a bit of a struggle at first...

But I managed it. There are a few mistakes, but luckily the recipient doesn't mind at all ;-)

Now that I have mastered knitting on four needles I may try to make some socks...

Meanwhile the Sydney Temperature Scarf is growing - I have finished February, which saw the first (and so far the only) day with a maximum temperature below 20 degrees Celsius (68 Fahrenheit) - the yellow row.

Doctor Who Cushion

I made this Doctor Who Cushion for my youngest son, who is a big fan of the Time Lord (last year I made him a bow tie with Tardis fabric). He loves it and I'm quite pleased with it as well. The pattern for this big cushion (26'' square) is available on Etsy (there it is called the Big Hero Pillow)

Bow ties are cool

Last year we discovered Dr Who, and now we are working our way through the previous series on dvd. My youngest son is a big fan of the 11th Doctor and a while ago he asked me if I could make a bow tie for him. Of course!

I found this cool Tardis fabric on Spoonflower and ordered a fat quarter. It arrived yesterday and after school I whipped up the bow tie (using this tutorial).

My son loved it and told me I was the best mum in the world ;-).
Now I have to make two more for his brothers...

It looks good on Bear too!
