Indigo dyeing

A while ago I purchased a Jacquard Indigo Dye Kit and this weekend I finally found time to play with it. I had a ball!

I made an indigo dye vat and yesterday dyed a lot of fabric, some yarn, a few shirts and a pair of socks:

Hugo loves his socks!

He made this picture of me in my hippie shirt:

Today I dyed another batch of fabric, more shirts and more socks:

And the vat is still there, so I will do some more dyeing soon!

I love what you have done with the vat! I have one of the kits but I'm waiting for some warmth!

Hugz!

Mooi, die blauwe kleur, moet alles blauw worden? Heimwee naar Delfts blauw?
Veel plezier met verven.

Fantastic lot of dyeing Linda.
I bought one of those kits too, but I will have to wait for the spring weather to arrive down here. We have had the biggest dumping of rain for years.

The results are great. Is there a limited life to the vat or will be be seeing lots more?

It looks like fun. you must have very blue hands. Love the tye dye effect. Can see quilts coming from some of this too. right?
